About the Project:
The Tragedy Project is a seven week project in which the students learn about morality and stories, and how they influence society. During this project the students learn about the six levels of moral development, read two Greek tragedies, and write a research paper on a current social issue. Some of these issues included: working but poor, the death penalty, immigration, health care, and human trafficking. For their final product students wrote their own tragedies about the social issue they choose to research. They wrote a 3-6 page script and created a visual component that took one of the following forms: a graphic novel, a stop animation video or a movie they acted out.
